Capturing Love in Paradise: Brittany & Grant’s St. Lucia Wedding

Earlier morning traveling isn’t always easy, As I woke up at 2:30am I received a message from American Airlines that my 4am flight from Philadelphia to South Carolina was canceled… Yea I know airports suck lol, so I went to the airport anyway to figure another way to make it to St Lucia. After going through many scenarios at the ticket counter the lady suggested I take a train from Philly to NYC to catch a flight to Miami, then to St Lucia. So, I hightailed it with all my bags to get a train ticket, hoped on and prayed I would make it on time. After arriving in NYC, I grabbed a uber to the airport, ran to the counter just for them to tell me they couldn’t get me on the flight. Bummed to say the least, being up since 2am and now its 10am, I had to come up with a plan. So, I called American, they got me on a flight headed to Miami, but I wasn’t going to be able to make it to St Lucia till the next day, Frustrated, tired, and annoyed with the airlines. I figured I would just enjoy the night in Miami and make it to the stunning beauty of St. Lucia the next day. The next morning getting to the airport, everything was on track, boarded on time, flight was great and landed in St Lucia. Super excited to take it all in, but then go to find out my bags never made it from Miami. Yet again bummed out lol but they were going to be delivered the next day (Thank God). Once I got through the airport and in the bus to head to the resort everything was smooth sailing, I got to see so much beauty through the streets and backroads, It took away everything that happened the day before and got me pumped and ready to capture the wedding for Brittany and Grant.
That sunset Brittany, Grant and their friends and family all took a sunset cruise. Having a blast, drinking, dancing, and taking every moment in that St Lucia was offering. My business partner Tony was their capturing so many special and fun moments through, as you can see through the lens and into the photos and videos and killer drone shots presented here today. As a new day came upon us, we journeyed through St Lucia documenting beautiful photos, video, and drone shots for our beautiful couples. Of course, we got to enjoy some sun, get in the water for some free diving and try so much amazing food.
The day is here, WEDDING DAY
As morning hit, we get ready for a beautiful and breath-taking day, gear up and out the door we go. Headed to meet the bride and bridesmaids, already on our second cup of coffee lol.
Music is going, brushes of make up getting applied, bottles of champagne popping and the glow of happiness on everyone’s face had set the tone for it all. We jump right in, already getting creative. After some bride time now, it is time for the gents. We hiked over to the groom and these guys were ready to party, beer drinking, fist bumping, and guy talk all around. This was going to be a good day for sure.
Once we were done with the getting ready photos / video. We set up for the first look, with Brittany and Grant super excited but also nervous since this is the first time seeing each other since the day before. The time was now Grant waiting patiently as Brittany walks up and they both see each other, tears flow, laughs of joy and warm kisses. As the day went on the day kept getting better. From capturing family photos and super fun portraits to such a beautiful ceremony by the beach with waves crashing, pelicans flying high, the warm sun on our faces and some beautiful words exchanged to each other before they place their rings on each finger. When sunset arrived as we take our couple to the water, drone flying high and the camera going off we were set to get the night going for the party.
Party time…
Moon was out casting light on the water, as some cool wind was blowing, fire torches glowing in the night to bring this party to life. As the reception was bumping everyone was ready to go. Drinks were flowing, bare feet moving in the sand to the music, and as a surprise to the bride and groom the resort presented fire dancers and fire breathers, wait till you see the video and photos pureeeeee magic.
Day after the wedding, we gathered with the couple for their day after session we offer to our clients as an extra bonus. So, we took a journey around the resort and the outskirts of the resort, as you will see we captured some memorable photos and video for them two. When the session ends with the couple getting in the water, I’d say that’s a win.
Even though the journey started out shaky, and most things didn’t go to plan. In the end everything worked out in our favor, from beautiful weather every day, amazing people all around, and the success of what we captured for our amazing couple. I’d like to thank Brittany and Grant for such a memorable trip, filled with love, joy and memorizing views. I’ am so blessed to do what I Iove to do. To get to travel the world, capturing beauty in so many amazing people that I meet. To work for myself, build the business of my dreams and be my own boss making decisions to create a life that only imagined of. I hope whoever is reading this, it gives you the drive to do what you love as well, don’t let anyone tell you not to go after your dreams, turn your dreams into reality and make it the best damn life EVER.
