Matt and Pete’s Saturday Adventure

On the day of Michelle and Hipilito “Polo” wedding, my other photographer Matt and videographer Pete. They were able to capture all of their moments. The weather was perfect!

Pulling up to their house, we walked up on Polo and the rest of the guys loading a minivan, Hi-fives and handshakes took place before walking inside to meet Michelle and her makeup artist. We watched Michelle be transformed into the beautiful bride she was meant to be, her eyes glistened. While we were capturing the makeup transformation, we were trying to convince Polo to get dressed and let the other guys take care of what needed to be done prior to the “I Do’s”. After taking photos of everyone getting their makeup done and Polo in his suit we jetted off to the venue where we could get shots of Michelle in her beautiful wedding gown. She was so nervous, I told her to just take a deep breath and smile. Her smile could light up a room. The ceremony started, we watched Michelle and Polo in front of Mr. Nicolosi himself, those moments are one of a kind. Next up was the party, let the night begin. It was a full night of dancing, breathtaking outfits, smiling faces and tons of laughter. Let me just say the food was amazing as well as the music. After finishing up some freezing outdoor bridal party shots everyone got to enjoy a nice warm night in the beautiful room provided by Nicolosi’s and watch Michelle and Polo on their first dance. Michelle had to throw her bouquet twice and Polo was trying to figure out what to do with the garter.

It was a fantastic night with a wonderful couple, amazing family and friends, as well as capturing the best moments that they’ll cherish forever!

Philadelphia Bound…

Dark roast coffee with that extra shot of espresso, you know what lets make it two. The air was still crisp and cold out as we made our way over to Philadelphia for Mark and Justin’s wedding. Now its late morning and everyone is out on the road, I don’t blame them the weather might have been chilly but it was beautiful out, not a cloud in the sky. We finally made it to our destination, The Warwick Hotel. The building has such great architecture, you could have picked it out of a magazine. Mark and Justin definitely picked a great spot to get ready at, the Warwick makes for beautiful pictures as well.

As we got to the room it was decorated nicely, bottles of the best Champagne, Bourbon and Whiskey were set out.  Mark and Justin were standing in the nicely lit bathroom getting ready together. They were assisting each other with shave brushes, putting shaving cream on their faces.

They have put together two different costume changes for their big day, first up was a black tux white tie and red accents all the way down to cufflinks and suspenders. Dressed to the nine!

Their ceremony was being held at the beautiful Saint Mark’s, Saint Mark’s has the most breathtaking architecture you’ll ever see.  They chose to incorporate their ceremony into the hour long mass of the church. There were candles lit that flickered ever so slowly, it was like a scene out of a movie.

After the mass, we took shots of the family inside the church and outside as we walked back to the Warwick hotel.  The reception was then being held at Stotesbury Mansion. We took some shots of the two in the lobby with all the amazing colors and hanging lights. Mark and Justin went up to the room to do their last costume change for the party that was about to begin but not before snagging more shots of their costume change.

Family and friends came from all over to be apart of their day. The ballroom was set up for the reception with beautiful décor, flowers and candles. They had a cocktail hour set up first so all the family and friends that came from all over could mingle while they did their costume change and photos. Once they made their entrance that’s when the party really started, delicious food, endless drinks and music that will make you want to dance all night long… and everyone did.

Christmas Cookies Anyone?

Hey y’all, it’s Saturday!!! Did we all survive the week, I don’t know about y’all but I barely made it through.. it was a tough one!

Tis the season for homemade Christmas cookies. How many of you have already started baking? If not, that’s okay you have another week. I have this recipe from my grandmother which she has used since my mother was a little kid. Talk about an old family recipe. It’s such a simple one as well, but they are the best cookies you’ll ever have in your life. Either right out of the oven or dipped in coffee! This is the second time I’ve made them myself and for some reason while making the dough this afternoon something wasn’t quite right and I cannot put my finger on it. Hum.. they’re still good but definitely not grandma’s. Hey I tried!

What about shopping, is everyone just about done? I have definitely waited till the last minute for that. For me, mom and dad are the hardest to buy for, all else fails buy Tennessee Whiskey!

We are reaching the end of the year in just a couple short weeks, I cannot be more excited. We have been working extra hard to take on 2019 and make it our best year yet!
It’s about that time to get ready for some Christmas parties this evening. I hope y’all have an amazing rest of the weekend. Cheers!

Longwood Gardens Engagement

Good afternoon everyone, I wanted to share with you the wonderful day I had with this beautiful couple, Ciara and Joe.  I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session at the amazing Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania on Sunday morning. For those of you who don’t know, Longwood Gardens decorates nothing shy of extraordinary during Christmas time. All the twinkling lights, tall decorated Christmas trees and beautiful settings, it will leave you speechless. It was another good day for the books, the sky was clear, the air was crisp and I was ready to capture the love between two people in such a great setting. Ciara and Joe are set to say their “I Do’s” on May 10, 2020.  Two outgoing people who are very loving towards one another. Their company was so much fun! I look forward to capturing their big day.
